About UsIt has come to my attention that About Us pages are usually stuffy, boring, or just plain useless. In an attempt to break free from the mold, I’m just going to tell you like it is. The most important thing I can say about us is that we believe in Jesus Christ and we will run our business with honesty and integrity according to those beliefs. My name is Greg Cauble and I am a 4th Generation Native Carolinian and Charlottean. Great Grandmother Frances Mason, who was born in Charlotte in 1857, married Irish Immigrant William Sproules in 1873. They had 4 children in Charlotte, one of which was Agnes Sproules, my Grandmother, born in 1887. My Grandmother married Harold Hartley Cauble who hails from Rowan County, NC. They had an only son, Harold Hamilton in 1923 who in turn married a Yankee transplant, my mother Rose Marie Sanzi in 1949. Some 16 years later they had an only son, yours truly, Gregory Cauble in 1965. Not to be outdone, I also married a Yankee transplant in 1996. Babette is my soul mate; a finer woman is not to be found. She is originally from Morgantown, WV and moved to her adoptive hometown in 1983. To date we have a daughter, born in Charlotte, and she may get married one day and raise her family here as well. I share this information with you because I am truly a Native and my family has been here over 125 years. We love the Carolinas and we can see why the descendants have stayed here so long. We have no intention of leaving either. We have always loved the convenience of being a few hours from the Mountains or the Beaches, and the weather is almost always perfect. "OK, so what?” you say. Well I’m quite proud of my heritage and the fact that the family has been here so long. This is what I bring to the table; longevity. Made In The Carolinas is in this for the long haul. We intend to make this company the premier promoter of all things made locally here in the Carolinas. We will be good Corporate Citizens and Partners, giving back to the community. Furthermore, we intend on making this company a leader in customer service, for the retail customers and the vendors. In the pursuit of a ware, often at a bargain, we tend to forget about the people who make those Distinctively Southern Wares. These are very talented, passionate, folks who pour their hearts and souls into these wares and into their art. They deserve no less service than our retail customers. Since I am in charge around here, I will see that they get it, too. In conclusion, Made In The Carolinas, Inc. is run by a 4th Generation Carolinian, Greg Cauble and his wife, Babette. We are committed to the Carolinas and the Artists and Entrepreneurs that produce what we sell. We will offer the best in Customer Service to our customers and our vendors, producing a win-win-win for us all. Starting December 1, 2007 Made In The Carolinas is open for business. We’d love to have you over for a look around. Tell your friends and family; we’d love to have them over too! |
